Acquisition Burden - Before the employee is even on payroll: recruiting, newspaper ads, on-line job postings, other advertising, application and resume review, scheduling and interviewing, reference checks, background checks, skills testing, substance testing, lost time for no shows, lost opportunity cost (repeat if the person doesn’t work out) (National estimates range from 15% to over 30%)
